U.S. 30 to be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning October 18

Photo courtesy: Indiana Department of Transportation LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – U.S. 30 will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning on or after Monday, October 18, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.
Lane restrictions will be in place between State Road 39 and U.S. 35 for bridge work over the Kankakee River and Shearing Ditch.
Lane closures will alternate between the passing and driving lanes.
Work will be ongoing for approximately five days, weather permitting.
Please drive carefully through work zones and around crews.
Allow extra time when traveling.
