LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- Alternating lane closures will begin on U.S. 6 between C.R. 500 W and C.R. 425 W beginning after Monday, June 30.

U.S. 6 is going to be reduced to one lane through the middle of August for a bridge deck overlay preventative maintenance project over Mill Creek. Temporary traffic signs will be installed to direct traffic throughout the area. 

INDOT inquires drivers to stay alert near workers and be prepared for the temporary traffic signals. 

Motorists should allow extra time when driving through these areas and slow down through all work zones.
