(CNN/KSTU)— A Utah woman is spreading holiday cheer in her Salt Lake City neighborhood this year with some sweet decorations.
Virginia Hoffman created her very own “Gingerbread House,” complete with giant gumdrops, peppermint swirls and candy canes.
“It’s all homemade and it’s all been kind of figure it out as you go,” Hoffman said.
The project took “hundreds and hundreds of hours” to complete. Hoffman’s husband, a professional artist, and her grandchildren all pitched in.
A Reddit post shared by her daughter showing off Hoffman’s festive home has gathered thousands of likes and comments.
"I hope that if it can just put a smile on anyone's face, if it can just help a little bit, a little Christmas cheer, that's the whole goal, it will all be worth it,” Hoffman said.
