INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission has decided not to extend the moratorium on utility disconnections. However, they are committed to working with customers to ensure utilities stay on.
The disconnection moratorium expired on August 14th but on the 12th the Commission required all utilities to offer extended payment plans to customers.
These plans offer payment arrangements for a minimum of six months and will be made available until October 12th.
Additionally, the Commission has suspended late fees, deposits, and disconnection/reconnection fees until October 12th for residential customers.
