Utility costs in South Bend may be on the rise

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-Utility hikes, followed by cuts to the Energy Assistance Program may be on the way to South Bend. 

The Community Forum for Economic Development will hold a public meeting Tuesday night to discuss the possibility of rising utility costs at Indiana Michigan Power. The hikes could take effect as soon as next year.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Charles Martin Youth Center.
