Vacant South Bend home set to be demolished

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A vacant South Bend home that has gone up in flames at least six times will be torn down.

Firefighters are tired of getting called to 1617 Carroll Street. They were there again over the weekend when the house was set on fire. .

ABC 57 has learned the home is on the city's demolition priority list. The city confirmed the home is one of nearly 30 homes that will be torn down next month.

South Bend Code Enforcement told ABC57 the property would only qualify for emergency demolition if it is in danger of collapse.
