Van Buren County home invasion

BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich -- Dispatch received a call for a breaking and entering complaint in the 13,000 block of Brookwood Drive Saturday night.

When deputies arrived on scene they discovered that two males had entered the home through a garage door. The caller was home alone in the basement watching television when he heard footsteps on the main level of the residence. He heard the suspects start talking and called 911.

While the caller was speaking with Van Buren County Central Dispatch he heard one of the suspects say, "someone is on the phone," and then connection was lost. The resident left the basement to find two men exiting and the home ransacked.

Descriptions of the two men are:  a 6'2" white male, stocky build, blond hair last seen wearing black clothing with a black ball cap and a 5'11" white male, stocky build, dark hair last seen wearing all black clothing.
