Van Buren County woman could face animal cruelty charges

PAW PAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A Van Buren County woman may face animal cruelty charges after police say she neglected her two dogs.

The dogs were found at what appeared to be an abandoned home in Paw Paw Township on Wednesday.

Officers say the dogs were in bad shaped and were chained up with little room to move. They also had little food and no water.

The owner said she thought the dogs were fine.
