Vehicle catches on fire after crash in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.-- A vehicle traveling southbound on S.R. 15, north of U.S. 20, was involved in an crash on Aug. 10, around 4:12 a.m.
According to police, Autumn Jimenez lost control and veered off the west side of the roadway, crashing into a ditch.
Following the crash, the vehicle re-entered S.R. 15 but then caught on fire.
Emergency services transported Jimenez to Elkhart General Hospital where they are being treated for back pain.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
