Vehicle goes off the roadway, lands in Mill Pond

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- A driver was injured when her vehicle went off the roadway and overturned into Mill Pond Wednesday afternoon, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to Dutch Settlement Street, west of M62 around 1:30 p.m. for reports of an injury crash.
The driver was traveling westbound on Dutch Settlement when she swerved to avoid a vehicle traveling eastbound on the road.
She lost control of her vehicle, it ran off the road and overturned into Mill Pond.
The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Deputies said the driver was wearing a seat belt.
Alcohol nor drugs are suspected as a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
