SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- Early Sunday morning, police responded to a crash in the 58000 block of Crumstown Highway in St. Joseph County.
The driver of the vehicle told police that she was attempting to avoid hitting a deer and she over-corrected, causing her vehicle to roll multiple times.
Police believe that speed may have been a factor due to high speed limits of 55 mph in that area.
The driver had only minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be checked out.
Officials say they want everyone to be wary of a large amount of deer crossing the road in the Crumstown Highway area this time of year.
