Veteran's center receives "Bears in the Air" donation

The St. Joseph County Airport Authority Board presented the Robert Miller Veteran's Center a check for $5,000 Friday morning.

The money was raised from South Bend International Airport's annual "Bears in the Air" program, which provides both a donation of teddy bears to children and a cash donation to the veteran's center.

The donated money will go toward educating and helping veterans find work.

Abraham Marcus, the president of the Airport Board Authority, said, "It's a good feeling to be able to help those people that have given part of their life for us."

Since 2013, over $16,000 has been raised for the veterans at the Robert Miller Veteran's Center.
