Veterans Day is a day we recognize the service of our Armed Forces.
At the University of Notre Dame, the ROTC will stand watch to make sure we never forget.
What has now become a yearly tradition, students will stand watch for 24 hours over The Clarke Memorial Fountain.
The memorial was dedicated in 1986 and honors the over 500 Notre Dame military students and alumni who lost their lives in World War II, Vietnam and Korea.
The vigil starts at 4 p.m today and will conclude with a ceremony at 4 p.m Tuesday.
