Victim identified in Kern Road fire

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The St. Joseph County Coroner has identified the victim found at a house fire in the 22000 block of Kern Road on Friday.
The coroner has identified the victim as 69-year-old Paul Rerick. Rerick owned and lived at the home destroyed by the fire.
St. Joseph County Police have reason to believe the fire might have been intentionally set by Rerick but no cause has been determined yet, reports said.
The full investigation is expected to take eight to 12 weeks to complete.
