Victim of deadly crash on SR15 in Elkhart County identified

One person was killed in an early morning accident in Elkhart County involving a car and semi-truck.According to Elkhart County deputies, it happened just before 3:30 Friday morning near the intersection of SR 15 and US 6.
The sheriff's office says 27-year-old Jeremy Ranstead was driving northbound on SR 15 when he drifted left of the center line into the other lane. Ranstead's car struck a semi driving southbound on SR 15.
The accident remains under investigation.
