Victims of I-94 accident identified
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Three people were killed in a massive pileup on I-94 Thursday evening. During a joint press conference, police released the names of the victims.
The three victims have been identified as Marylyn and Thomas Wolma of Grand Rapids, husband and wife, and Jerry Dalrymple -of Chicago.
The Indiana State Police, INDOT and Michigan State Police held the press conference Friday morning.
Police said they received a call at 2:21 p.m. about numerous crashes from Michigan City to the state line.
Police said the snowfall and winds created white out conditions.
There were a total of 46 vehicles involved, including 18 semis.
In addition to the three killed, two victims are in critical condition and 20 others suffered injuries.
