Cool today, frigid on the way
Two mountaineers fell over 65 feet into a crevasse on the western slope of a mountain in the Alps on the border between Italy and Switzerland, according to ABC News.
The accident happened at an altitude of 4100 meters and was reported just before 2 p.m. on April 25.
Local rescue teams and a helicopter with a medical crew carried out the rescue.
The two mountaineers, both 23-years-old, were taken to the emergency room. Both have since returned home and are okay.
