Visitation for Deputy Koontz begins Monday in Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. (WRTV/ABC News) -- Visitation for Howard County Deputy Carl Koontz begins Monday afternoon.
Deputy Koontz was shot and killed in the line of duty on March 20 while attempting to serve a warrant in Russiaville, Indiana.
Koontz's casket arrived at Northwestern High School Monday morning.
At the high school, Koontz was a school resource officer -- helping keep the halls safe for the kids there.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. inside the school's gym.
It is open to the public.
