Volunteer effort underway to save Morris Performing Arts Center seats being replaced

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- With the Morris Performing Arts Center undergoing renovations, a local volunteer is trying to rescue the seats being replaced.

Tim Bennett has started the Save-a-Seat program for anyone interested in getting one of the 1,200 available seats, volunteering for the program, or having a place to store seats for a month.

The program’s biggest need is storage, as the seats need to be moved out by Monday.

Seats are also available for a donation to the Morris Equity in the Arts program.

Those interested in helping out are asked to call Tim Bennett at (310) 713-2816 or visit their Facebook page.
