NORTH LIBERTY, Ind. -- Volunteers joined the RV Industry Association on Wednesday to help clean, repair and improve the conditions of Potato Creek State Park.
Coming from a handful of different RV companies, volunteers combined efforts to clean up trails, repair bridges, landscape, paint and even build a stage for educational presentations at Potato Creek.
Volunteers with the association take the opportunity to create positive change for RV-friendly areas while strengthening teamwork and learning industry trades from other companies that are also participating.
“It’s a great way to team build, right? So, we’re not only team building within our own companies, but we’re team building within the industry. Getting to know people throughout the industry in different roles. We have a lot of skills in this industry, whether it’s marketing, building, trades, just different types of things that they’re all being used today,” said Michilah Grimes, Director of Corporate and Community Impact at Lippert Components, Inc.
Wednesday’s volunteer event at Potato Creek was the first of its kind for the association. The group looks forward to organizing similar events at other parks in the future.
