Volunteers needed for flood cleanup in Berrien Springs

BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. -- If you would like to volunteer to help with the flood cleanup in Berrien Springs, officials are asking you to pre-register.

Click here to preregister online. There will be no on-site registration. Volunteers under age 18, must obtain parent/guardian permission.

The times are Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers who have pre-registered should meet at the Berrien Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant, 9415 Old US 31 Berrien Springs, MI 49103 or 9415 S. M-139 Hwy, Berrien Springs, MI. 49103 (depending on your GPS system)

You will be given rubber gloves and masks if needed, but you can bring your own.

You should wear clothes you will never wear again. They will get very dirty.

Lunch and water will be provided both days by the Salvation Army.

Training will be provided each morning on safety, proper handling, and general requirements.
