NILES, Mich. – At around 9 a.m. on Tuesday the Toefco industrial facility in Niles caught fire but officials were able to quickly extinguish it.
Everyone evacuated the building and there were no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but officials say that it began in the filtration system, and that allowed it to spread to the roof.
Toefco is an engineering company based in Niles that specializes in industrial spray coating.
An investigation is underway.
