Walking for global hunger relief

MICHIANA -- People didn't just talk the talk they walked the walk to help stop hunger.

Sunday was the 30th annual Crop Hunger Walk and it took place all across the country. People in St. Joseph County, Indiana headed out to Howard Park for the fundraiser.

They had a one mile and a four mile walk for global and local hunger relief.

The event raised over $4500.00 just from online donations, but St. Joseph wasn't the only local county helping out with the effort.

Kosciusko County also took part in the hunger walk. It was the 28th annual walk in Kosciusko County.

The Crop Hunger Walk collects funds for Church World Service and the Salvation Army.
