Walmart unveils scanning phone app in Texas
SOUTH AUSTIN, Texas — Walmart has new technology and claims it will make your shopping experience less stresful.
It's a phone app that allows you to scan and pay for your items without standing in line.
The technology has been rolled out a superstore in South Austin, Texas.
The early reviews from customers have been positive.
"Just pay for everything as you go out, don't have to wait in long lines. I think it will work out real well," said Vijay Patel, a Walmart shopper.
No Indiana or Michigan stores currently use the app.
