Michiana started off the first day of Winter with below freezing temperatures; however, temperatures will climb over the next several days. We'll experience one more cold night with lows in the 20s. Clouds gather overnight, setting us up for a mostly cloudy, yet mild Monday—highs peaking above freezing and reaching the low 40s.
Temperatures continue warm, getting closer to Christmas Day—highs expected to reach the 40s and 50s. As temperatures increase, so does the chance for showers. There is a slight chance for light precipitation overnight into Tuesday, but the more likely chance arrives on the night of Christmas Eve. Another round is expected Thursday evening.
Temperatures slowly return to normal the following week, with chances of precip. possible going into the new year.
