Warsaw man sentenced after possessing firearms

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A Warsaw man was sentenced after possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, according to U.S. Attorney Kirsch.

Charles William Dove, 34, was sentenced to four and a half years of imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release.

According to the Attorney’s Office and documents regarding the case, Dove possessed a pistol and shotgun despite having 12 prior felony convictions.

Dove engaged in an argument with a family member by text message, where he sent a photograph holding the guns in early March 2017.

Warsaw Police and the Assistant U.S. Attorney Gabrielse handled the case.
