Water main break near Niles High School will force parents to find alternative routes for student pick up

UPDATE: Eagle Street in Niles is completely reopened.

NILES, Mich. -- The City of Niles has crews working on a water main break on Eagle Street, between 16th and 17th Streets.

Crews say water has been restored to the 1600 block of Eagle Street, but the road will not be reopened by the time Niles High School lets students go for the day. As a result, some parents will have to find different routes to pick up their students.

The road is expected to reopen by 5 p.m.
