
GOSHEN, Ind. -- Goshen Community Schools announced the appointment of the next principal for West Goshen Elementary School following the approval from the GCS Board of Trustees at their Monday meeting.
Long-time educator Carrie Garber will officially become the school's principal on July 21.
Garber began her teaching career in 1997 at Riverdale Elementary and has spent 24 years with GCS, the majority of which was at West Goshen Elementary.
She has been a classroom teacher, literacy coach, mentor teacher, master teacher, as well as a Teacher on Special Assignment.
Garber most recently served as principal of Ox Bow Elementary in Concord Community Schools.
“I am incredibly excited to return to West Goshen, a place that has always felt like home,” said Garber. “Leading this school is an honor, and I look forward to building on its strong foundation of community, care, and excellence. My vision is to create a nurturing environment where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.”
Garber holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Taylor University, a master’s in education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and completed her Principal Licensure Program in 2020.
