West Michigan artist creates angel artwork

PLANFIELD, Mich. — A West Michigan artist created 26 angels in memory of the school children and educators killed in the Connecticut school shootings.

The artist and her helpers are working overtime in Planfield, Mich. to complete the project.

They expect to finish building the Angels and get them to the victims' families in Connecticut in time for Christmas.

And the artist has pretty high standards but if helps soothe and comfort the people in Newtown, Conn., the artist said it is worth it.

The artist and her helpers said they were inspired after watching and reading the coverage of the massacre.
