West Nile Virus detected in Starke County

STARKE COUNTY, Mich. - A mosquito sample from Starke County has tested positive for West Nile Virus.

According to WKVI, no human cases have been detected, but the Indiana Department of Health continues to provide tips on how to protect yourself as mosquito season continues. 

They urge citizens to discard containers that hold still water: old tires, pots and bird baths, and to use protectant on your skin.
