SOUTH BEND, Ind.---
The Westside is ready to welcome back the memorial day parade for the first time since 2019.
The intersection of Ford Street and Lombardy Dr got a patriotic new name in honor of the parade that will include a flyover, marching bands, and 70 entrees is now Memorial Day Drive in honor of the 97th year of the tradition, and the fallen heroes it remembers.
That is where the parade will kick off at 8:15am Monday morning before it heads all the way down Ford to Olive Street, making it the longest stretching parade in South Bend.
There will be parking in the Planet Fitness lot, St. Adalberts, and Navarre Middle School.
