White tiger cubs born at zoo in Michigan City

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The Washington Park Zoo in Michigan City announced the birth of two male white tiger cubs.

It is the first litter for 4-year-old white tiger Zusha.

She mated with Zeus, also a white tiger. Both Zusha and Zeus have been at the park since 2010.

White tigers are produced when the recessive gene for the white color are inherited from both parents.

The cubs won't be on display for at least four months, but the zoo will have a video feed from their den to an outside monitor for visitors to view.
