Whole Woman's Health submits new application for South Bend abortion clinic

The Whole Woman's Health Alliance announced it is submitting a new application to the Indiana State Department of Health for a license to operate an abortion clinic in South Bend.

The license application the WWHA submitted in October 2017 to operate a clinic at 3511 Lincolnway West was denied in January 2018.

WWHA appealed and an administrative law judge recommended the application be approved.

The ISDH appealed that decision and and the clinic's license was denied in November 2018.

“Today, we took ISDH attorneys up on their offer to submit a new application for a license to open Whole Woman’s Health Alliance of South Bend. This application includes the same information that was on our original application with the addition of a cover letter that includes information that, from our experience over the past year working with ISDH, we believe the department may wish to know but has never asked us for directly. The information shared in the cover letter is not requested on the application itself. We look forward to a prompt response from ISDH granting our license,” explained Amy Hagstrom Miller founder and president of Whole Woman’s Health Alliance.
