After closure in 2020, YMCA reopens in downtown
Much colder air is filtering in and will remain in place as 2020 gets underway. After a remarkable stretch of tranquil and mild weather, we saw plenty of rain over the weekend. The rain is done, but snow showers will replace it Monday as the wind picks up. Gusts of 30-40 mph are expected all day.
The snow picks up in coverage and intensity Monday night into Tuesday. Those north of U.S. 30 could see 1-3" by Tuesday afternoon, with areas along and north of the Toll Road seeing 2-4". It'll again be windy Monday night and Tuesday, adding a bite to the air.
New Year's Day looks nice with a brief warm-up into the 40s and perhaps lower 50s Thursday and Friday as rain returns. Behind that system will be another bout of snow and colder air.
Today: Windy with a few snow showers. High of 36.
Tonight: Windy with snow likely. 2-3"+ of accumulation. Low of 27.
New Year's Eve: Light snow thru midday; breezy. High of 30.
New Year's Day: Plenty of sunshine. High of 38.
