Winter Weather Advisory affecting several counties Jan. 12 to Jan. 13

ST.JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory is in effect for several Michiana counties. 

Counties include LaPorte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Kosciusko, Noble, De Kalb, Starke, Marshall, Whitley, Allen, Henry and Putnam.

Travel advisories may change for these counties, right now Henry and Putnam Counties are under the advisory possibly affecting and restricting travel due to hazardous weather.

Snow accumulations are expected to total between two to five inches. Portions of the Indiana Toll Road could see several inches of snow.

The advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 12 to 3 a.m. Sunday Jan. 13. 

A winter weather advisory means snow may impact travel, making it slick and difficult in some areas. 

Drivers are asked to use caution while the effect remains in place.

South Bend International Airport is reporting one flight delay to Detroit.
