Winter weather ban in effect on Toll Road Wednesday evening

The Indiana Toll Road has issued a winter weather ban for triple tractor-trailers, long-doubles (low-profile and high-profile), and high-profile oversize permit loads.

The ban will be in effect Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST through Thursday at 10 p.m. EST.

The ban affects traffic between Milepost 31 (Valparaiso exit) and Milepost 96 (Elkhart east exit).

According to the National Weather Service, northern Indiana is expected to get 3-7 inches of snow in the advisory area, which is the area west of Highway 31 and north of Highway 6.
