Winter weather prep ahead of snowfall

Winter weather is here to stay for a while and within the next 24 hours, many parts of Michiana will look a lot different.

AAA says throughout the winter weather months, it is expected they will respond to about 7.8 million service calls.

Many of those calls will be related to dead batteries, lock outs, or flat tires just to name a few.

People can get ahead of the snow storm by having their vehicles serviced. It is recommended antifreeze levels are checked to prevent freezing.

Car batteries and the ignition system should be be in top condition and the battery terminals should be kept clean. Brakes need to be checked for wear and fluid levels. For more winter car prep tips, click here.
