Wisconsin company develops virtual doctor's visit

MEQUON, Wis. --- A Wisconsin company has created what may be the next best thing to house calls from doctors.

Geppetto Avatars has developed a type of virtual appointment using a software robot.

Its virtual physician's assistants could be smarter than any doctor who ever walked the Earth.

"As a small app, on almost any mobile device, you're able to speak to the system, it's able to recognize what you say, it's able to recognize your body language, your gestures, your tone of voice, and then it responds in natural language and, at the same time, it animates." said Mark Stephen Meadows, founder of Gepetto Avatars.

The app will be available on almost any mobile device and is expected to be available to some organizations beginning in September and to the general public some time next spring.
