Wolcottville police officer arrested on three separate charges
WOLCOTTVILLE, Ind. -- Indiana State Police reported that Officer Zarek Finley, of the Wolcottville Police Department, was arrested on Monday following an investigation regarding his alleged official misconduct involving a minor.
Prior to this investigation that began on February 4, a concerned mother had reported to officials that Officer Finley, while acting in his official capacity, allegedly had been exchanging inappropriate messages with her 16-year-old daughter through social media platforms.
The current charges filed against Officer Finley are attempted child seduction, attempted dissemination of material harmful to a minor, and attempted possession of child pornography.
Officer Finley is currently being held in the Noble County jail without bond pending his initial court appearance.
