Woman arrested for meth possession in LaPorte County
LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. – On Friday, January 22nd, at 8:20 a.m. Indiana State Police (ISP) troopers observed a silver Lexus at the Speedway at the U.S. 20/U.S. 35, state troopers reported that while speaking with the occupants, the odor of burnt marijuana was detected.
The report states that upon further investigation several hypodermic needles, including one that contained a brown substance, were discovered.
According to the ISP, a female subject was taken into custody.
Once transported to the LaPorte County Jail, two plastic baggies were found on her person that contained suspected narcotic.
The woman was identified as a Waukesha, WI local and was arrested and booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a hypodermic needle, stated the Indiana State Police.
