CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- A woman died after her husband allegedly ran over her while driving a golf cart in their yard Friday afternoon, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to a home in the 25000 block of 67th Street in Wayne Township at approximately 1:30 p.m.

First responders located a woman who had been run over by a golf cart driven by her husband, according to deputies.

They attempted to revive the victim, 79-year-old Patricia Corbidge, but they were unsuccessful.

Deputies say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
