Woman flown to hospital after getting caught in a combine

PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- A woman was flown to the hospital after she got caught in a combine Tuesday afternoon at a farm on Peach Road, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.

When emergency personnel arrived, 54-year-old Laurie Hayn was conscious and responsive.

Hayn told deputies she went into the cornfield in an area she thought was safe because Ronald Hayn had just been through there. She said the next thing she knew, the combine was on her.

The Plymouth Fire Department and paramedics extricated Hayn from the combine.

Hayn was flown to Memorial Hospital.
