Woman pleads guilty to felony theft

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A woman charged with several counts of theft.

According to the probable cause affidavit, she was suspected of stealing money from patients at the senior living facility that she worked at.

Mishawaka Police learned Amy Luczkowski had not been paying the premiums of her patient’s insurance at the Golden Living Center.

When the police spoke with Luczkowski, she admitted to taking money from the accounts of her patients.

She is no longer an employee at the Golden Living Facility, and has pleaded guilty to one count of level six felony.

As of Tuesday, the sentence is 30-months in order to accommodate the restitution.

The Defendant is placed on probation for a period of 30-months, but if restitution is paid, probation could be reduced to 12 months.

If Luczowski completes probation, she would qualify for future misdemeanor treatment.

The Court did allow restitution judgment to the Golden Living Center of $13,700.
