Woman records herself having a stroke

Stacey Yepes recorded herself having a stroke after doctors did not believe her the first time she went in for help.

The 48-year-old showed the video to her doctors who, after a brain scan, eventually agreed with her initial diagnosis.

"Things that we usually associate with older age, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol, is happening more and more often in younger people so young patients can present with stroke,"  said Dr. Cheryl Jaigobin, a neurologist from Toronto Western Hospital.

Yepes is now at home recovering.

Her local hospital asked for the video she took to study and learn from it.
