SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. -- A woman continues to recover in the hospital after the buggy she was traveling in was struck by a semi Thursday morning.
Sharon Bontrager was driving the buggy westbound on State Road 120. When she attempted to turn south on to State Road 5, she had pulled into the path of a semi traveling east on State Road 120, according to the La Grange County Sheriff’s Department.
Bontrager is being treated for injuries to her back, neck, ribs, and legs.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
