Woman robbed while attempting to sell cell phone

ELKHART, Ind. -- A woman who was selling a cell phone through a social media post was robbed when she met the buyer in person, according to Elkhart Police.

Police were called to 2038 Roys Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The victim told police she went to the house to meet with a person who was purchasing a cell phone from her.

When she arrived at the home, she met the suspects in the rear of the home.

A woman pushed the victim down and took her cell phone. When the victim attempted to get the phone back, a male threatened her. The suspects got into a red SUV which was driven by another male.

The suspects are described as a black female, 20-25 years old, 5'10" tall; a black male, 20-25 years old, 6' tall; and a black male 6' tall.
