Woman says sexually assaulted by masseur, others asked to come forward

BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. - A 39 year-old woman said she went to have a massage by 70 year-old Johan Albert Abrahams when he started touching her inappropriately.

She reported the sexual assault to Berrien Springs Oronoko Police Department (BSOPD) and it conducted a two month investigation.

Police said Abrahams was operating a massage business out of his home on St. Joesph Avenue in Berrien Springs.

Abrahams is being charged with two counts of 4th Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.

BSOPD are asking anyone with additional information to come forward and contact Det. Sgt. Patrick Teed at (269) 471-2813.

Abrahams was arraigned by the Berrien County Trial Court and is awaiting a preliminary examination.
