Woman who scammed state fair fund gets probation

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police said a woman took thousands from the Indiana State Fair Remembrance Fund.

Police said Sandra Hurn, 38, posed as an 11-year-old girl injured in stage collapse. She got $7,500 for her fake claim.

But officials caught onto her scheme.

She pleaded guilty to forgery and possession charges. She will spend two years on home detention and three years on probation and will have to pay the money back.
