MIDDLEBURY, Ind. -- The Town of Middlebury announced construction will soon begin on the new water tower downtown.

The city has already installed a temporary fence to secure the property.

City officials say the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail parking lot at the end of West Spring Street is will also be closed until the project is completed in late 2026.

A new trailhead parking lot is set to be constructed. 

The tank contractor will be utilizing West Spring Street to deliver materials to the construction site. 

The city has also installed new 'No Parking' signs to allow for easier access to the site since the street is narrow, and this will be enforced
