UPDATE: ABC57 has confirmed with a contractor working on the home that this incident began after World War II-era explosive artillery was found.

The contractor tells ABC57 reporter Leo Goldman that the home was bought in a tax sale, and that he was the one to discover the material.

Law enforcement was called as a precautionary measure to remove the material.

All of the artillery was inert, though it was initially unclear if that was the case.

Everything has been removed from the home.

There is no ongoing threat to the public.

ORIGINAL STORY: PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- The public is being asked to avoid the area of 1500 W Lake Avenue in Plymouth due to a law enforcement presence.

Multiple agencies are reported on the scene. ABC57 observed both police and bomb squad presences.
